About CARS4CURES
Cars 4 Cures came about in October 2008. It took awhile to decide what venue to use for this fundraiser. There were
a lot of ideas researched and thrown around. And then after watching an episode of American Chopper on TLC, a car show
was settled on.
I chose to do a fundraiser for The Lustgarten Foundation for the following reason. My father succumbed to the disease in 1997, three months after being diagnosed. And that is what his doctors told him - three months.
Being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer is a death sentence. The more people know about pancreatic cancer the more they can give in time and money. That means more research can be done so more people have a chance to survive this deadly disease.
Knowledge is power.
